Hey neighbors!

The people who are Shelter Island Presbyterian Church in Shelter Island, New York recently put up our “Let’s Be Neighbors” banner in English and Spanish. We believe that now is the time for faith communities of all kinds to be bold, prophetic witnesses of peace and hospitality in these divisive times. The message of these banners is an important narrative of choosing welcome when voices around us try to tell us that fear and suspicion are the only choice. It has been a pleasure to work with David LaMotte to secure a Spanish translation of the original English banner. May the Spirit guide us as we strive to live into these words of welcome!
